UCAR Central Authentication Server (UCAS)

One of the authentication interfacesA specialized server cluster performs user authentication for everyone who accesses computers inside the UCAR firewall security perimeter. Authentication is the process of verifying the identity of a user by requiring a username and password.

If you experience problems authenticating via a web browser, quit your browser and try again.

Some NCAR computers are protected by a higher level of security. The gatekeeper servers mediate the one-time passwords users provide using their CRYPTOCard.

UCAS accounts and CRYPTOCards are provided to new hires as well as to NCAR collaborators who have gone through the allocation process.
