EDUCATION PROGRAM FAQs

What is meant by the term "classified student"?

"Classified students" is supposedly a common term used by central offices to help project the number of high school seniors that will enroll in a college or university the following year.  It also is an indicator that colleges and universities use to project potential enrollment.

The term classified students is usually defined as the total number of students enrolled in college prep programs at the high school level.  For the purposes of the SC2000 education program application, this is the definition we are using and we are asking that you show this number (#students enrolled in college prep programs) as a percentage of your schools total enrollment.
