Notes Regarding Recommendations
- It is recommended that users use the Mozilla
mail reader instead of Netscape
- Outlook Express is known to have major security
problems. Currently it comes bundled with the
operating system. Future installs will not have
it installed. It is recommended that Outlook
be used instead.
- Adobe Acrobat is a suite of tools for publishing
documents online in Portable Document Format
(PDF). Acrobat Reader is a free tool for viewing
PDF documents.
- Microsoft Office Professional integrates Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, and Access into a single
procurement package.
- Meeting Maker is a client/server application.
Users need both client software and an account
on a Meeting Maker server.
- Remedy is a work request standard adopted for
SCD work requests.
