SCD story/photo of the week: 29 October 2004 PyNGL: Panel composite plotThis visualization shows a popular feature of PyNGL: the ability to composite several individual plots into one visualization. This is useful when comparing data, tracking changes across time, or viewing a lot of information at a glance. The visualization portrays the variation of temperature fields over North America at 6-hour intervals. Normally, one would look at such changes in the form of an animation, but, e.g., for journal publications, a composite image is the best way to show time steps. This visualization also shows the ability to add a figure label (A, B, C, D, E, F) to each plot, as well as a common label bar that applies to all the plots.
