Data Support Section (DSS) CISL's Data Support Section is curator and steward of an internationally-recognized Research Data Archive. This 55-terabyte-and-growing archive, composed of more than 600 datasets, is made up of a high-quality collection of observations and analyzed atmospheric, oceanographic, and related data. The DSS continually adds to the archive content through systematic data collection and applies practices that enhance the data quality. The section works to improve discovery and access of data by capturing robust metadata and using widely-accepted standards, and collaborates nationally and internationally to create increased data availability to the atmosphere and ocean research community. |
