DWAG Minutes Friday July 14, 2006

Attendees: Amy Bauer, Joe Bitzko, Steve Ettinger, Janice Kauvar, Reta Lorenz, Ingrid Moore, Bob Tan and Justin Young.

DataWarehouse Migration Progress – Bitzko

Joe gave an update on the server migration progress which is currently in development. IT will be testing during August and plan to go live with the new SQL server in Mid-September prior to Year End processing.

Crystal reports will be impacted by the migration. Donna will work with Crystal users to update drivers on their systems most likely as instructions via email then one on one support as needed.

This migration will make the possibility of more frequent sourcing of data available. The new server is also more compatible with Mirosoft products such as Access. Joe will talk with JOSS (Jim Menghi) about their Filemaker reports.

Fintools Update – Young

The Fintools group is having three meetings to present the requirement results and ask for administrators to provide input on the results. The group would like more information for the new Cash Flow issues. Ingrid had been working with Anita to develop a “use” file in BiTech to track Cash Flow. NCAR B&P may also be working on this report.

Future Meetings – Kauvar

Janice suggested that the last scheduled DWAG meeting for August 25 be the last for a while since there seems to be overlap with other committees, in particular the Fintools group. Rather than focus on the advisory portion of the DataWarehouse, it was suggested that the Crusers group reconvene. Reta will work on coordinating a Crusers meeting.

Open Discussion& Updates on Action Items from June 2, 2006 DWAG Meeting

Justin talked with Mike Moran regarding adding an additional ESSL representative to the DWAG. Mike was going to bring this up at the next ESSL Admin meeting. This may not need to be addressed if the DWAG meetings are put on hold.

Some ART reports are not working. The Salary Expense by Account report and some encumbrance reports were not working. Joe investigated and resolved a security setting in an underlying view. Alos, the Advance Notice reports are not running for the test group. They need an update from Donna.

Justin gave an update on the BiTech 7i project. IT is currently working on the Req to Check portion for Online Purchasing. This encompasses Travel Authorizations as well as Purchase Orders. The Signature Authority system will be directly tied into the process.

Amy is still not able to see terminated employees in iVantage. She will email Karla and cc: DWAG.
