To get to the CAS2K5 Workshop site at the L' Imperial Palace Hotel in Annecy, France, you may choose to fly into Paris or Geneva. Listed below are some various modes of travel and directions to assist you in arriving at the Workshop.
PARIS to Annecy by train -- If you choose to fly into Paris and take a train, we've found that the scenery is wonderful and the trains are clean and comfortable. It's about a 3 ½ hour trip. From the Charles de Gaulle or Paris Orly airports, travel to the downtown train station (Gare de Lyon). There is a TGV (rapid train) that leaves the Gare de Lyon station for Annecy several times daily. The one way train costs approximately 75-100 Euros per person. You must make reservations for the TGV. These can be made with any travel agency. Please check out the fares and schedules at http://www.raileurope.com/us/rail/fares_schedules/index.htm GENEVA to Annecy by bus – It is also possible to take a bus from the Geneva Airport to Annecy
. GENEVA to Annecy by car -- You may also choose to fly into Geneva and rent a car. This is fairly
easy to do. It's about 25-30 miles form the Geneva airport to the hotel
in Annecy . Please check with your Car Rental Company of choice. Enter a second rotary. Go through the flashing yellow light in the
rotary and exit following the sign to Thônes and L' Imperial.
Go straight through the next light. When the road ends ( Lake Annecy
and the Imperial Hotel/Casino are directly in front of you). Geneva to Annecy by taxi -- It is also possible to take a taxi from the Geneva airport to Annecy
