Database Services Team (DBST)

DBST gathers, stores, computes, tracks, and reports charging information and associated computer project data for all CISL machines and all projects. The database includes the User Master File and the Master Email File.

DBST authenticates additions, deletions, and updates of this information for users with projects on CISL machines and for all NCAR employees. Once a user record exists in the User Master File, DBST sets up logons for users on the CISL machines.

DBST is responsible for data integrity as well as database administration, including software installs, software updates, backups and recoveries.

All user additions, deletions, project additions, requests for CRYPTOCards should come via an Extraview Ticket Request Please include as much appropriate information in the ticket as possible for the best results. For example, a FedEx mailing address for a CRYPTOCard if it needs to be sent, lead user authorization to add a user to a project, etc.

Through the CISL Portal you can access current project use. Logging on requires your UCAS password. Contact the CISL Helpdesk at 303-497-1200 or by sending a Extraview Request Ticket for assistance.
