Bluesky is our premier super computer. Bluesky is an IBM Regatta class Symetric Multiprocessing system. It has 1,600 POWER4 processors with a 1.3-GHz clock cycle; each can perform up to four floating-point operations per cycle, bluesky is capable of 8.7 TFLOPS.
